The Word On The Street book fair this year was the best I've seen. The sun was shining and the temperature was just perfect. I hate to say it but in the past, when I have attended, there has always been a bit of rain.

As always I was on a search for gardening content. This year for the first time my friend, Marjorie Harris, was attending and selling her book Thrifty. She shared a tent (in a rather awkward location) with her buddies Andrew Smith, author of Edith's War, (below right) and Philip Shepherd, author of New Self, New World (below left).

I created a video about my day at Word On The Street, which features Beckie Fox, Publisher of Garden Making Magazine, and there is quite a bit of Marjorie's book reading in the second half of the video. The story about how Gardening Life Magazine folded I found too good to leave out. I hope you enjoy it.
