Yesterday I attended the President's Choice Lawn & Garden Media Day. It consisted of a tour of Linwell Gardens and Freeman Herbs in the Beamsville area. Other wholesalers such as Ecke Ranch, Sheridan Nurseries, Martin Farms and Bradford Greenhouses also gave presentations.

It gave us a chance to learn about and see first hand the new annuals, perennials, vegetables and shrubs that will be available at the various Loblaws chain of grocery stores. Most of them are already available at their various garden centres, but they will be highlighted in the new President's Choice Insider Report, which will be available in the stores in about a week.

I will be posting my story and photos about it shortly but in the mean time here is a brief example of the kind of people and companies that Loblaws rely on to provide the great products for their stores. This video features Phil Tregunno of Tregunno Farms from Niagara On The Lake, just a few km from where we had our tour.
