The Flocktail Party is a fund raising event for the Toronto Botanical Garden. It is the most important garden party of the season.
For me, this year was far more exciting than last year. Even though I took a lot of still photos I had a great time dashing around and using my new video camera. I think I got some really great vis! I hope you enjoy it. (If the video is slow to download, check the size of file you are trying to watch, 720p, 480p or 360p. If it is set at 720p and is loading slowly, change it to 360p. You will find it loads much faster after that. If you are still having problems, pause it and double click on the image and the YouTube page will appear and you can watch it directly from the source. )
Here are some, but not all, of the great birdhouses that were on display and up for auction. More of them can be found on the Toronto Botanical Garden Flocktail website.

There were slightly fewer people this year, but there were plenty that I knew. The Horticultural Societies of Parkdale and Toronto was well represented with Helen Chapman, Barry Parker and Dorothea Cook with Aldona Satterthwaite, Executive Director of the TBG. Sandra Pella, Head Gardener of the TBG, is reunited with garden writer Marjorie Harris. And finally, there is nothing better than talking cameras with two photographers, Glen Reichwein and Janet Davis.

This year the Flocktail Party was more beautiful, better organized and far more entertaining than it was last year. How are they going to top this next year!
