A Love Letter To Martha Stewart

If someone should ask me, “What do you think about Martha Stewart?” I would answer without hesitation, “I Love Her!”

Today, despite an extremely tight schedule at Canada Blooms to publicize her new product line at Home Depot, Martha Stewart made a special appearance at the Annual Winter Meeting of the Garden Writers Association. Here was a small group of about 70 Canadian garden writers that had no expectations that a celebrity would appear in their ranks.

She not only helped to create memories that they will not soon forget, but she also made me into a Hero. You see, I jokingly told many of my garden writer friends that I was going to bring Martha Stewart to our meeting, and I did. If I hadn't asked her myself, (and brought to the attention of her publicists how important it was that she bring her message to the people who were most capable of disseminating it), she would not have come.

And I will never forget that she did.
